Surtec International GmbH has acquired Omnitechnik Mikroverkapselung GmbH. Part of the acquisition agreement is also the purchase of all shares in the joint venture Precote USA L.L.C. by the subsidiary Surtec Inc. Surtec is a division of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities GmbH (FCS). As a family-owned company, Omnitechnik Microencapsulation has developed into a market leader in the field of reactive and non-reactive coatings for fasteners since its foundation more than 40 years ago. With its product range, the company serves a wide variety of thread coating applications worldwide, for example in the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, the aviation industry, household appliances and other industries. The acquisition creates the conditions for the strategic further development of both companies. "Part of the FCS business strategy is the continuous expansion of our business portfolio, including an active acquisition strategy. Attractive and promising services, technologies and products with outstanding market positions are our focus," says Filip Krulis, CEO FCS. "In our acquisitions, we focus on companies that help us strengthen our market position in highly specialized segments. With Omnitechnik, we will significantly expand and strategically develop our existing business for chemical surface technology," adds Dr. Jörg Matthias Großmann, CFO FCS.
