As a cross-sectional technology, industrial cleaning technology ensures the quality of downstream processes as well as product quality. In the future, the German Industrial Parts Cleaning Association (FiT) will honor this enormous importance by awarding the FiT2clean prize. The prize is awarded for outstanding achievements and solutions to a current challenge in industrial parts cleaning. The award, which is endowed with 10,000 euros and one year's free membership of the trade association, will be presented for the first time in 2022 and then annually thereafter. The application period for this year's FiT2clean Award has begun. The call for entries is open to all suppliers and users of industrial cleaning technology. For 2022, solutions, currently implemented product ideas and further developments from the following subject areas can be submitted:
- Innovation: developments for more efficient implementation of current requirements in industrial component cleaning.
- Ecology: Solutions for industrial parts cleaning or for modifying a product, process or application that result in resource-optimized process management or resource savings.
- QSRein 4.0: System solutions for knowledge-based process control in industrial parts cleaning.
The applications will be evaluated according to defined criteria by an independent jury of experts from science, industry, research and media, including JOT editor-in-chief Holger Seybold. Participation is not possible for companies and organizations that send jury members. The first Fit2clean Award will be presented on October 13, 2022, during Parts2clean. The leading trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning will take place from October 11 to 13, 2022, at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center.
