Axalta Coating Systems has announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the Spencer Coatings Group, the largest independent industrial coatings manufacturer in the UK and a leading producer of coatings for heavy-duty equipment, for general industrial applications, for the oil and gas industries and for the glass sector. The financial details of the acquisition have not been published. Spencer has three manufacturing facilities in England and supplies its industrial products throughout the United Kingdom and on international markets.
