Dürr presented new solutions for efficient and intelligent production at the 11th Open House from May 13 to 17. The focus was on digital technologies for networked manufacturing processes. Around 1000 visitors came to Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany, from all over the world, most of them from the automotive industry. Under the motto "Smart up your plan", Dr. Jochen Weyrauch, CEO of Dürr Systems AG, opened the innovation show, the aim of which is to make contact with customers. Divided into topic clusters, Dürr presented the visitors with the current focal points of work and the latest developments: Around 100 experts are working on innovative applications in the so-called Digital Factory, a cross-departmental software competence center. This includes the digital maintenance assistant DXQequipment.maintenance. It shows maintenance dates for components in automotive paint shops, such as robots, pumps or valves. Newly developed robot and flexible driverless transport systems were also presented. Visitors were particularly interested in the demonstrations of a new technology (EcoPaintJet) for overspray-free painting. The technology was developed for the two-color painting of car bodies.
