Axel Sebbesse, Chief Development Officer and Member of the Executive Board of the Otto Krahn Group, will leave the company at his own request on February 28, 2023, to pursue new challenges outside the Group. Sebbesse had been working for the Otto Krahn Group, headquartered in Hamburg, since 2007. After starting at the plastics distributor Albis, he moved to the Krahn Chemie Group as Managing Director in 2008 and was appointed to the Executive Board of the holding company Otto Krahn Group in spring 2021. We regret Axel Sebbesse's decision to leave our company," explains Philip O. Krahn, CEO of the Otto Krahn Group. "Over the past 15 years, he has repeatedly and at various points provided important impulses for the successful development of our group of companies. In doing so, he was distinguished by his high strategic competence and his pronounced openness to new solutions." During his twelve years as Managing Director of Krahn Chemie, Sebbesse, together with Dr. Rolf Kuropka, drove forward its international expansion and the development of sustainable and profitable business areas. In his responsibility within the Otto Krahn Group, his focus was primarily on the areas of Strategy, M & A, New Business and People & Culture. As was the case before Axel Sebbesse joined the company, the holding company will in future be managed by CEO Philip O. Krahn and CFO Dr. Jan Lösch.
