<<<Update: The next PaintExpo is scheduled to take place in Karlsruhe from 26 to 29 April 2022.>>>
PaintExpo, the world's leading trade fair for industrial painting technology, will take place from 12 to 15 October 2020 at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre, Germany. The organizer FairFair GmbH is thus reacting promptly to the recently announced postponement of the industry highlight due to the dynamic spread of the corona virus Sars-CoV-2. "We are very pleased to have found a new date for PaintExpo 2020 so quickly in agreement with Messe Karlsruhe and the exhibitor advisory board," says Jürgen Haußmann, Managing Director of FairFair GmbH. "It is very important to us to offer our customers, partners and the entire industry planning security." Furthermore, the organizer was informed that the contracts with the approximately 540 participating companies from 26 countries are also valid for the new date without restrictions, as are visitor tickets.
This decision to postpone was based on the "Risk assessment and recommendations for action for major events" published by the Federal Ministry of Health and carried out by PaintExpo organiser FairFair. According to FairFair, in addition to the risk assessment, the first post-fair reports and final figures of trade fairs that took place during the period under corona impairment contributed to the decision-making process. There were reports of declines in the number of exhibitors, but above all in the number of visitors. FairFair very much regrets these declines, but is at the same time pleased to be able to derive a benefit for PaintExpo from these experiences of other organisers.
