BYK-Gardner GmbH - a global partner to the automotive, coatings and plastics industries for quality control of color, appearance and physical properties - introduces its new Byko-Visc RT series of rotational viscometers. The instruments can be used to test the viscosity of liquids and pastes in compliance with ASTM D2196, ISO 2555 and ISO 1652 standards. According to the supplier, they enable precise measurements, with each test condition recorded for detailed analysis and verification of results. Thanks to the manufacturer's stringent quality control, the instruments achieve high repeatability and reproducibility. An ISO 17025 calibration certificate is supplied with each instrument. The Byko-Visc-RT models offer intuitive navigation. A variety of control options and a large capacitive color touchscreen display - which has programmable icons to quickly recall commonly used measurement parameters - make operation easy. These features reduce user effort, leaving more time for the actual measurement task. With the Byko-Visc RT and the BykoVisc RT Lite, two models are available, each with three different sensitivities. This enables the measurement of viscosity - for example of paints, coatings, primers, resins, lubricants, pharmaceuticals, creams, beverages and sauces - from an almost water-like, very high viscosity to the viscous epoxy resins, sealants and pastes. The unit is ready to use right out of the box. The new product line is compatible with many other rotational viscometer models in terms of results, measurement parameters and accessories - such as spindles.
