The properties of metal and plastic surfaces are important quality features in process chains. Testing the wettability of the surface after cleaning and pretreatment processes and before further processing is the prerequisite for optimum product quality. For this purpose, Sita Messtechnik presents the Sita Surface Tester, a hand-held measuring device for controlling wetting by measuring the contact angle. The device is mobile without PC and easy to operate via touch screen. This allows a quick assessment of the surface wettability of components in the production process directly at the plant. With the handy sensor head and a small contact surface, measurements can be made on components of various geometries.
